The regular meeting was held starting at 6:00 p.m.
Superintendent Bergstrom presented “Superintendent Spotlight” certificates to students and an employee throughout the district who have shown outstanding effort this school year.
Student Council reports that they are planning the assembly for spring sports, prepping for prom, and planning for the spring dance.
Mrs. Nancy Peters-Lewis, from the College and Career Access Center, presented the board with an update on the organization’s services for our district. They provide college-bound seniors help with access to college planning, such as college applications, FAFSA funding, scholarship applications, and assistance with final college decisions. The CACC also provides non-college-bound seniors with military options, career assessments, interviewing skills, job shadowing, and employment exploration.
The board approved the recommendations of Superintendent Bergstrom to address our district’s technology needs. Network switches that are coming up on end of life need to be replaced, as well as a cabling project within the middle/high school building. Wireless access in the auxiliary gym will also be installed. E-rate funds will reimburse the district for 70% of the cost of these projects.
The board approved the second reading of NEOLA EDGAR UGG updates.
The fifth grade field trip to Sauder Village on June 4, 2025 was approved.
The board accepted, with regret, the resignations of Mr. Todd Waldron, Mrs. Lisa Wallbaum, and Mr. Scott Marvin, to be effective at the end of this school year.
